Stay tuned.
Even though I no longer work for cricket, I can still get PRL's from time to time. I will try and add more PRLS and also put up a guide on how to rip PRL's from the phone after *228 to get the latest PRL. Stay tuned. 1 Comment Thanks to our user "Frank" there has been a problem with Android phones using certain apps like "easy Battery Saver" amongst others that stop web and mms services altogether. consider this when you have a flashed phone. "If customers cannot connect to web nor send out mms, no matter if its a CPE/Flashed Phones or Cricket phones, make sure that EZ Battery saver application is not installed on their android phones. We found out that this specific application causes android phones to loose their data service." Why would you want an App that tells you how much battery you have left? Instead when using your android phone, Turn off wifi and or GPS is its not in USE. If you are still rocking the 45 dll plan with an autostart script, you may consider switching to 55 plan and deleting autostart as it uses more battery since its running in the background. "For customers experiencing muve music error that "Network not available" check if sd card is colored black and white or black, blue and white. if its black and white, ask them to call care department for an sd card replacement. if its blue black and white, ask them to download AAA application from android market." -Thanks to a helpful user by the name of Frank. He has provided us with this solution for the muve music handsets. A while back I had experienced this problem while playing with the one we had in our shop. We always though about refreshing but since the muve music is tied to a network and it downloads to the SD card, well this makes sense. Thanks Frank. "Do not refresh rateplan on network 2 area, it will lock the account. instead, turn on/off content filtering on the rateplan to refresh it. by just doing a rateplan refresh without changing any service on the plan will locked the account when accessed thru CID. So its better to remove/add content filtering first. after certain issue is resolved, return the content filtering back to its previous state.." - Thanks to our flashing community, a user by the name of Frank has provided this useful information for dealers on how to properly refresh an account with out locking the account with CID. Seems like cricket has finally fixed the incompatibility issue for Text messaging with the Verizon iPhone 4. Now you can truly enjoy the iPhone on Cricket for Talk and texting! it's been a YEAR since the iPhone came out 2-10-2011 and Cricket has finally made its service compatible with SENDING and RECEIVING TEXT messages with other carriers! Hope there is a HOW TO FULL FLASH IPHONE 4 TO CRICKET guide real soon!!! People have been reporting that while on iOs5 and above, they can't seem to change the carrier.prl file inside the iphone. this can happen if commcenter isn't properly patched. Not really reverting the Prl back to the original one, but not really writing it at all. Hope that made sense .____. One thing you can do if your carrier supports OTAP (over the air programming) is add the phone's ESN/MEID to your account (what's called an ESN change) and dialing *228 from your handset (for cricket dial *22804) this will probably download the Appropriate Prl to the ViPhone thus allowing it to be programmed and grab service. "I have a Flashed Blackberry, and I have the $45.00 plan. But when I try to use the Web on my Flashed Cricket Blackberry, it tells me I need to Add $5.00 for mobile Web, also my MMS is not working." This is probably something you have heard from one of your customers. There is a Fix for this. If you are a Dealer and know how to Fully Flash Blackberrys, but Still get this Error, you can fix it. Step 1. Open up the Account info via Cid. and put the phone as Blackberry CPE. Step 2. Change the Rate Plan from $45.00 to $55.00 BB plan, Now when you do this, the customer must pay a pro-ration fee upfront so you can process it thru Qpay, Simply turn off the phone turn it on make a test call, and then try the mobile web, after you have access, downgrade their plan to the $45.00 Dollar plan and the customer gets their account credited towards next bill. Or you can simply do all of that and maybe cancel payment thru QPAY once web is up and running... Oh yeah, there is ways around the system...lol IF YOU ARE ACUSTOMER, just call CID support, or walk into a store, And Upgrade your plan to the BB 55.00 PLAN, BUT DO NOT Dial *228 like they will tell you to do. dont dial anything, simply remove the battery from the phone and tell them you already did *228. Once it comes back on, use the web, when its good to go, You can call again and downgrade to the $45.00 plan again.
